Naga City — The Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) has officially secured the Certificate of Occupancy from the City Government of Naga for its newly completed 5-Storey Academic Building, signifying that the facility is now ready for use by the College's stakeholders and concessionaires.
The issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy marks a significant milestone in BISCAST's continuing infrastructure and campus development program under the leadership of SUC President II Prof. Charlie P. Nacario, PhD. More than the completion of a new structure, this achievement reflects the College's unwavering commitment to providing safe, modern, and regulation-compliant facilities that support quality instruction, research, extension, and student services.
One of the key features of the new academic building is its ground-floor business rental spaces, which will serve as commercial hubs for concessionaires while providing a dynamic learning environment for students of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship. These commercial spaces are envisioned to strengthen experiential learning by exposing students to actual business operations, entrepreneurship, customer service, and industry practices. At the same time, the rental spaces will generate additional institutional income that can be reinvested into academic programs, student services, and future campus development initiatives.
