The Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) officially opened its ASEAN Month 2026 Celebration on August 3, 2026, during the flag-raising ceremony at the Student Pavilion.
Under a gloomy Monday morning sky, the clouds briefly parted as the BISCAST community gathered in vibrant ASEAN-inspired attire, bringing color and energy to the opening program.
The celebration featured the ceremonial hoisting of the ASEAN flag and the flags of ASEAN Member States, followed by an ASEAN-inspired fashion showcase presented by Laboratory High School students.
The program was held under the leadership of SUC President II Prof. Charlie P. Nacario, PhD, with the support of Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Apolonia C. Sebello, Vice President for Administration and Finance Mr. Abbas F. Villalon, External Linkages and International Affairs Officer Dr. Milano O. Torres, Laboratory High School Supervisor Dr. Eleonor C. Jarapa, and the College of Education Dean Dr. Rosalie S. Magistrado.
Anchored on the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairship theme, “Navigating Our Future, Together,” the BISCAST celebration carries the parallel theme, “One Vision, One Identity, One Community.”
Through the celebration, BISCAST affirms its commitment to ASEAN awareness, shared identity, and regional cooperation through education, research, innovation, and community engagement.
