BISCAST, Naga City – At least 100 start-up entrepreneurs in Peñafrancia, Naga City attended in the ‘Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay Penafrancia’ on Tuesday, March 19, at Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) Student Center.


Said event intends to empower Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Barangay Peñafrancia as well as to inform participants on how to avail Negosyo Serbisyo services like Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE).


Other privileges were also laid down and the process on how to register their business name was also discussed.


The Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay Penafrancia was initiated by Negosyo Center Naga City in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Camarines Sur Provincial Office and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Naga City.


Several agencies also participated in the activity including the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education for Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Pili Market Development Cooperative (PMDC), and Camarines Sur Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CSMPC).


BISCAST’s Institutional Production and Enterprise Development Program also highlighted their efforts in promoting programs for young entrepreneurs.


Aside from plenary session where different agencies presented their services and programs, the clients were given a chance to have a one-on-one consultation regarding some inquiry towards their agency.


A Seminar on “Managing and Growing your Business” was also conducted during the afternoon session.


The ‘Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay’ is a program created by the government to replace the ‘5-6’ system and to alleviate poverty by micro-financing small time businesses, as well as providing seminars and trainings to enable them to become competent entrepreneurs.
