BISCAST, Naga City – Marking its 6th Charter Anniversary, the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) celebrated its milestones, achievements and new programs for the next academic year.

Focusing on the theme “BISCAST @ 6: Journeying Towards Internationalization Through Building Collaborative and Inclusive Working Relationships”, the institution highlighted its new endeavors particularly on its internationalization effort.

According to the College President, Dr. Richard H. Cordial, the school is now aiming for better, bolder and more competitive BISCAST.

Cordial said, “At this moment, we took a step higher towards internationalization. We already started building relationships with academic institutions outside the country, and I’m proud to say that we will soon be sharing our expertise with them.”

The anniversary celebration kicked-off on November 15, 2018 through Multi-Faith Prayer, Zumba, and different sports activities participated by BISCAST employees.

The institution also inaugurated the Values Restoration Program (VRP) as well as the infrastructure projects including Mini Theater, Student’s Center, Food Tech Laboratory, 3rd Floor of the CAAT Building, and Assembly Hall.

During the Recognition and Awards Night held last November 19, the institution awarded and recognized the retirees and employees who have already rendered 15, 20 and 25 years of service in the College.

Meanwhile, Cordial encouraged everyone to not be afraid of the challenges because of BISCAST’s vision of becoming the premier college for creative and innovative applied sciences and technology.

“We are Spartans at heart, and as Spartans, we are valiant and passionate. Our goals unify us and with that, let us face this journey with unity. Let us walk this journey as one.” Cordial said.
