BISCAST, Naga City – The Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish sustainable university network, November 14, 2018 at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.
The signing ceremony between BISCAST and KMUTT took place during the 8th Regional Workshop on Integrated Resource Management in Asian Cities: The Urban Nexus.
Based on the MoU, BISCAST’s College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and KMUTT’s School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D) will establish an exchange program both for students and faculty to afford opportunity for international cooperation and to assume various forms for joint research and development projects.
Aside from experience sharing, it is expected that the relationship between the two institutions will provide avenue for networking and curriculum development.
Dr. Richard H Cordial, BISCAST President said that the signing ceremony is indeed another milestone for the College especially that this 2018, the school has already jumpstarted its internalization effort on curriculum integration.
The President also revealed that three more universities will become part of the collaborative agreement by next year.
Said cooperation agreement between BISCAST and KMUTT was made possible by the GIZ- Nexus, the international organization partner of BISCAST under the Urban Nexus Project.
