BISCAST, Naga City – The Alumni Association Inc., of Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) recognized and celebrated the achievement of new engineers and master electricians from this institution earlier today, October 2 at the ETC Hall.

Alumni Association President Ms. Angelina N. Felizmenio led the event honoring the successes and sacrifices of 44 new Electrical Engineers, 38 Mechanical Engineers, and 41 Registered Master Electricians.

Deejay Alvaro, RME September 2018 Topnotcher was given highlight during the event where he shared his inspirations and learnings before, during and after the examination.

According to Alvaro, acing the Registered Masters Electrician (RME) Licensure Examination was unexpected but it was his goal.

He also thanked his mother for giving him inspiration and support; and dedicated his achievement to his father who already passed away.

Alvaro said, “No secret behind my success. I just kept focusing on my goal and did my best.”

Among those who attended the event are BISCAST President Dr. Richard H. Cordial, VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Orbel S. Cepeda, VP for Administration and Finance Ms. Nancy Orgaya. College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Dean Arch. Jennifer Y. Vibar, College of Trades and Technology (CTT) Dean Dr. Isidro R. Bola, Alumni Association Board of Directors Irvin Ayo and Dr. Emily T. Camalla, Student Development and Services (SDS) Director Engr. Antonio Ricardo T. Ayen, and other officials and faculty members of BISCAST.

According to Cordial, he is happy that the College is gaining momentum in national licensure examinations.

The President also advised these new licensed professionals to further prepare for future challenges.

He said, “There’s always a place for a prepared person. The school has already honed you. But always remember, ‘Madali ang maging engineer, pero mahirap magpaka-engineer’.”

Meanwhile, Miss Felizmenio said the tradition of recognizing new passers will continue to boost the confidence the students.

She also reminded all the passers to be an idol to everyone and adhere to the values imparted to them by BISCAST
