BISCAST, Naga City –Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) majorettes proved that ASTEANs are not just academically incline but they can also shine in terms of grace and beauty as they placed first in the recently concluded 10th Regional Military Parade, Friday, September 14.

BISCAST Majorettes won 1st Best Marching Band Majorettes in Category B which was participated by different schools in Bicol Region.

According to Majorette Coordinator Mr. Francis Euste, all their efforts paid off amid the rain, and the fatigue they experienced during the competition.

He said, “All the participants are good. But our majorettes were able to smile and project despite the rain.”

Euste also mentioned that coordination, teamwork, God’s guidance and the support of BISCAST administration helped them in winning the competition.

The BISCAST majorette team is composed of 15 members led by Ms. Robie Ann Doriendes.

Meanwhile, the Spartans also bagged several awards during the military parade including 3rd Most Discipline Unit in Category 4, 4th Best Marching Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) in Category 4 and 4th Best Marching Band in Category B.

The 10th Regional Military Parade is part of the annual celebration of Penafrancia Festival.

The administration has already expressed their congratulatory message to the winners for bringing honor and pride to BISCAST community.
