BISCAST, Naga City – Some officials and staff of Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) participated in the Zumba Fitness Fundraiser of Civil Service Commission (CSC) held on September 7 at Legazpi City Convention Center.

BISCAST employees participated in CSC’s Zumba Fitness Fundraiser held last September 7 in Legazpi City.

Headed by Human Resource Management Officer Ms. Leila Lilia Cordial, 19 BISCAST representatives joined the activity dubbed as “Groovin’ for Pamanang Lingkod-Bayani (PLB) Year 4”.

The Zumba Fitness Fundraiser is the kick-off activity of month-long celebration of CSC’s 118th Anniversary with the theme “Lingkod Bayani: MakaDiyos, Makatao, Makabayan”.

According to CSC-Bicol Regional Director Cecilia R. Nieto who was also present during the event, the purpose of the Zumba activity is to raise funds for the PLB, a one-time financial assistance given to immediate families of government employees who died in the performance of their duties.

Nieto said, “Each family of the deceased employee will receive Php100,000.00 cash wherein four beneficiaries have already received the assistance.”

Aside from BISCAST, more than 1,000 civil servants from 104 government offices all over the Bicol Region joined the event.
