BISCAST, Naga City – A total of 715 graduates marched at the 44th Commencement Exercises of Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) last March 31, 2017.
BISCAST produced nine graduates from the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Major in Technology, 286 from College of Education (COE), 232 from College of Trades and Technology (CTT) and 188 from College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA).
Ako Bicol (AKB) Party List Rep. Rodel Batocabe graced the graduation exercises emphasizing on this year’s theme “Crusading for Change for a Better World”.
He pointed out several pieces of advice which the graduates may uphold especially in times of shortcomings. He also hoped that the challenges faced by the students during their academic battle will be fruitful and that they will succeed in their chosen career.
Batocabe asked the graduates to continue serving the country and make it a better place for the future generation.
Meanwhile, the event also highlighted the achievement of three academic awardees.
Erona Maie Buenavida of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) Major in Physical Sciences was hailed as Magna Cum Laude while Cedric Abano (BSEd Physical Sciences Major) and Rod Vargas (Bachelor of Elementary Education) were awarded as Cum Laude.
Dr. Richard Cordial, BISCAST president said that everyone should celebrate this great achievement.
He reminded all the graduates to thank their parents and teachers who have helped them to reach their goal. He also asked them to bear the institution’s core values even after stepping out of the academe.
Aside from the graduates and parents, the staff, faculty members and officials of BISCAST witnessed said event.
